The Bladder Cancer Supportive Care Program is a comprehensive supportive care program developed in February 2025 by the Vancouver Prostate Centre for patients with bladder cancer, their partners, and families from the time of initial diagnosis onwards.

One of our missions is to improve patient’s understanding of their disease and help them make the best decisions regarding their treatment. We hope to better prepare patients who will be undergoing bladder removal surgery (cystectomy) or alternative treatment, and to enhance their recovery and return to daily life activities.

We provide educational information and access to clinical care. Research is intimately built into this program, with the goal of continuously improving the resources and care we provide.

Patients can self-refer to access the program, or be referred by their physician (a doctors’ referral is required for the sexual health services).
